Computers are our day job, people are what drives us. The world we see around is filled with people, so we strive to make this place a better place, for people. Below are some projects past, present and future that we are involved in as well as some good “things” we like to do on a daily basis.
SON stands for “Sponsor an Orphan in Nagaland.” This program was initiated by Sarah and Dave Glass after their 2008 Mission trip to Shihapumi in Nagaland. Their exposure to the Springbuds project in Nagaland open their eyes to our work among the abandoned children in the region. God moved their hearts with compassion and they felt compelled to be intentionally and actively involved in the project. Since 2008, they have been traveling every year to spend time with the kids and have led mission trips with several young people.
We partner with Ecycle Today http://www.ecycle-today.com/ to help prevent e-waste from ending up in our landfills. They would be more than happy to pick up your old electronic waste, or you may drop them off at our office for pickup. Either way is no cost to the consumer. Ecycle Today and Computer Systems Plus strive daily to help keep this planet green for little geeks to come! We hope you too will help.
Another way we reduce waste is through our toner and ink recycling, which also helps raise funds for our friends at Ijams Nature Center http://www.ijams.org.
For every toner or ink cartridge recycled Ijams gets a donation through the Funding Factory http://www.fundingfactory.com. Drop off your used or unwanted toner and ink or ask about how your business or organization can be a drop off site too, just ask for Rob and he will be more than happy to help. Helping to keep toner and ink out of landfills and raising funds for Ijams, It’s not everyday you can do two good things at one time!
